This is such a fast deck. I would remove Rey's Staff and add Planetary Uprising. If you get them both out, you get 4 damage more per round which is very big in addition to what Poe brings to the table.

Rey's modified side is really important to resolve.and rey's staff can be discarded to poe which is quite relevant. I do like uprising a lot and will definitely consider it since I am so fast and claim so early. The issue then becomes that rey's modified damage side basically never will get resolved. We only play 2 caution to improve rey's position in this front. However it is nice that uprising can be used in the first few turns. If I can somehow find the room i'll definitely include 2x uprising perhaps with 1x or 2x staff to facilitate the aggro nature of the build

I played against someone on TTS last night with this match. So I can only speak to being on the receiving end of it. A lot of times, Rey's dice were just going unresolved. Poe just does so much damage and you do not have much time to react to it. One round he rolled out Poe. Claimed, Mind Probe. That was nine damage coming from Planetary Uprising X 2 and Mind Probe. I guess that it an optimal round for this deck, but 9 damage on two turns is brutal especially as a finishing move.

I basically resolve ANY black side of rey, Caution is important because it at least makes one of rey's bad sides into 3 shields on poe.

There are 36 possible rolls with rey

You get 2 black sides in 9 of them

in 2 of them you get a modified side and it's counterpart,

in 9 of them you get 2 unusable sides

and in 16 you get 1 usable and 1 unusable side.

The issue with uprising IMHO is that uprising is untargeted damage, while it is great in the mid/lategame in the early game your goal is to kill a character on Turn 1 before they have a chance to roll them out. This is the key to winning the FN/ebala/Nightsister matchup. You need to kill Bala Tiik on Turn 1.

Here's an idea, -2 Defensive position +2 Planetary uprising. Note that force throw/lightbow/mind probe/u-wing become Pure damage now and it is unlikely for you to actually generate resources outside of resolving rey's die with a poe die.

why no OWTF? It's one of the most flexible cards for Poe specials.

Of Uwing Force Throw Mind Probe and Handcrafted Light Bow, which of those can be cut for One with the Force?

One with the force is the 5th best pitch card to poe, we can't afford to play the 5th best card for poe we need just the best cards possible.

I love this, it's my 'forever' deck, I think, and this is really close to my build. I have cut Force Speeds, they're a red herring. Holdouts are more reliable and have better synergy with Poe dice. Between them and the Vibroknives, Speeds seem uneccesary and hard to play after the first round. It's slightly higher variance, but it's worth it imo. Nice to see this deck is still on the radar for people.

I'll likely never be able to do something like this because I'll likely never have Force Speed. Too expensive.

@sceritz I've cut mine for Holdout Blaster in this build. It's win-more here in my opinion, but maybe wait for some other comments. Getting a double action off ambush weapons onto Rey serves the same purpose, and you need to have one of their characters down by latest turn 2, or like the OP says, Bala by turn 1.

After that, speeds don't help much, they don't help much more than either a holdout or vibroknife to achieve it, and cost you actions without providing any benefit of the actual dice. They also only go on Rey, so they can become dead-draws. Holdouts are never dead draws.

Deck works just great without em so don't be put off.
