The pairing of Nightsister and Bala-Tik - Gang Leader is excellent. But with the lose of FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper as the lead character, this pair are looking for a good replacement.

To attempt to sustain the type of Aggro that was seen by the Rainbow 9s build, post RRG updated. You will need to look elsewhere. However looking to re-employ this pair in an aggro or mid range deck that can ramp sufficient. I was looking for a character that could aid with the resource creation needed to ramp the deck!

Therefore i bring you Ciena Ree - Adept Pilot... who with her 2 resource sides and blaster damage that complements Bala Sister pair. She can facilitate the deck with a method of resource generation that can hopefully ensure upgrade ramp, control and mitigation.

The early rounds are the most crucial and as tempting as it might be to ramp straight into a 2 cost upgrade on Bala-Tik - Gang Leader. However, the ideal starting scenario would be to have a DH-17 Blaster Pistol in your opening hand with a mixture of mitigation and/or Logistics and/or Force Illusion.

From the outset there is potential for 10 damage from the character dice in this list. However the probability of realizing this even with Nightsister damaging herself to get there. But with the addition of an early DH-17 Blaster Pistol you can begin to raise the probability of delivering 6 to 8 damage round 1. With the occasional god roll delivering more.

Best case scenario you will kill a character and be rewarded with a round 1 Bala-Tik - Gang Leader re-activation that can be devastating to your opponent be either dealing more damage or producing more resources to ramp into the next round.

Placing the aggro potential of this deck to one side. The concurrent thought to your aggro delivery should always be will Bala-Tik - Gang Leader die. Given the suite of characters Bala-Tik - Gang Leader will be the majority of opponents first target and the loss of his reactivation ability will remove a tactic that can push you ahead or bring you back on terms when considering the game state.

It is for this reason you should not be tempted by a round 1 2 cast upgrade as this will remove your second resource that can be used for a strategic Force Illusion and/or mitigation that will ensure you have access to Bala-Tik - Gang Leader's ability for as long as possible.
