Here’s a deck I made for fun that is performing better than expected (certainly better than a lot of Grievous decks that I have seen). So yes, it’s one die Grievous.... I know, I know, but stick with me for a bit. The strength of Grievous, in my opinion, is his power action and his health pool so the one die isn’t too terrible. The theory of this build was simply to a) get blue into the deck, and b) pair Grievous with someone that would make the opponent think twice about who to go for. Sister does that perfectly, and in my play testing folks just can't decide who the target should be.

I’ve been playing this deck pretty straightforwardly: Load up whatever character is not be targeted and go to town. If I loose the roll off I tend to put shields on Sister to help that low health pool out a bit. A loaded Sister can obviously be a force to be reckoned with, and most people will commit to going after Grievous just because he seems so intimidating. And if they do go for Sister, then Grievous is a powerhouse after a couple of rounds. I'll be honest: I'm not sure who I would even go for in this deck (which I love). What I do know is pulling off plays like a Tactical Mastery into a Vibroknife into Grievous' power action is super explosive. Not to mention fun. And if you can't pull that off, then a Tactical Mastery into We Have Them Now is an equally nasty play.

My record with this deck, as best I recall, is currently:

  • 2-1 versus eCad/eSnoke
  • 2-0 versus ePlo/Padawan/Padawan
  • 2-0 versus eKylo2/ePryce
  • 0-1 versus eTarkin/eSnoke

This deck can certainly be optimized, and currently has cards in it that could be replaced. Furious Assault could go, but makes for a nasty finisher late game. The 3 cost redeploy sabers are in there to overwrite your 2 cost upgrades with if your loaded up character begins to get targeted and looks to be going down. Force Speed likely deserves a slot. I’ve also considered Maul's Lightsaber to try to abuse rolling it back into the pool and then using Grievous’ power action, but all the stars would have to align for that play to work.

As mentioned before, I made this deck for fun and it's simply performing better than expected. Hopefully you all will have some fun with it as well, and suggest improvements for it along the way.

I do think this is the best General Grievous - Fearsome Cyborg deck there is out their. The funny thing is this is what I thought would be the best General Grievous - Fearsome Cyborg when his spoiler came out. I would play Maul's Lightsaber and Fifth Brother's Lightsaber. Instead of the Crafted Lightsabers.

@RazelllThanks for the suggestions. Resources can be hard to come by in this deck, but will give your suggestions a try. Let me know if you take the deck for a spin.

Looking back at this deck I am reminded that I should have also mentioned the large number of one-of’s. That’s mostly due to trying out the new cards in an effort determine what needs to be dropped, what needs 2, etc.

@Nerf Herder If you are resource dry I would try Enrage and I see you already have Logistics.

Any new thoughts ?

I haven’t had much time to play test this deck of late, but I did come to the conclusion that Well Armed could be dropped. It’s mostly effective late game, and by that time you will likely have It Binds All Things on the board.... or hopefully you will!
