Dice of Failure 822

When I first saw this deck played on Dice Commandos YT channel, I was enthralled. I've already made a few Fat Vehicle Decks, namely with Firespray-31 and Umbaran Hover Tank (the latter utilizing Arihnda Pryce - Unscrupulous Governor to get some more consistency out of the Tank special.

But seeing the eL3-37 - Droid Revolutionary, double Rebel Engineer work so well with Shadow Caster, I had to have it. And I just so happened to have most of the cards I need.

The core strategy is largely the same as what you've seen. You tutor for the Caster with Armored Reinforcement, getting reliable resources with the Engineers Truceand Logistics as well as L3's focus. Then tutor for mods, playing the R2 Astromechs to reduce the die cost, then ramp up to the Triple Laser Turrets by round 2-3. It's deadly and brilliant.

But I've added a bit more "heat" to this design. Namely Inflame and Blaze of Glory, both of which have such obvious synergy that I'm surprised to have not seen them in designs before.

Inflame is good on its own - you can turn a black side to a blue, or a 3 damage to a one damage - for zero cost. But its ambush makes Easy Pickings and Into The Garbage Chute so much more consistent. Inflame a non damage die to damage and the throw that and another into the chute. Or turn a 1 ranged to a 2 ranged and easily pick it and another 2-ranged.

The other addition, Blaze of Glory is the ultimate middle finger to an opponent with a ton of damage dice. The ideal scenario is to have L3 with 5 or more damage on her (with Dangerous Maneuver or Karabast!) and your opponent rolls our 6-10 damage. Use your Blaze of Glory. Deal all of that damage to L3, wasting all of that damage, and get both L3 dice on the caster.

My last signature addition is the Shield Generator. I don't love how vulnerable Fat Vehicle decks are. AT-ST, Vandalize, "Mauler" Mithel - Vader's Wingman are absolute killers, and I think a one-cost support that will give you a mulligan on support hate is well worth it. And yeah if they're not running support hate, it'll be a dead card. But I'd rather have it and not need it than the other way around.

Lemme know what you all think! I'll be doing a lot of playtesting in the next few days, so I'm open to all suggestions! Also, if anyone has the link to the Dice Commandos-featured deck, I would love to give them credit!
