Primarily aggro with a small control package. The deck itself is fairly self-piloting. Would like to fit in some more dice control but haven't tried this deck in the local meta find out what would be most useful. The only flex slots to do this would be Probe and My Kind of Scum but I like the threat of the latter so am hesitant to remove it until certain I'm not playing it. Rebel War Room is my go to Battlefield but will be trying a few others to see if they are more beneficial.

Book 1394

Man, no jetpack, 1 drop blaster, or holdout... those are snap includes in this type of deck.

I was considering Jetpack, for the special and fight dirty shenanigans, but the range modifies put me off. I only really wanted melee damage with Grievous so I could resolve all damage together, particularly with Tactical Mastery. Also I was only really looking at yellow dice for Fight Dirty so I didn't even consider putting in the blasters.

@Leurinci Reversal is also a great one of in this deck.

About the blasters, you have Bala still, who has ranged sides. Blasters can deal damage--you could play rifle. Gaffi is super marginal. Thrower is expensive.

Jetpack gives you offense and defense. The blasters increase your odds of hitting with ranged results. This also helps with your Disarm.

I think Cunning, thrower, Gaffi, and maybe datapad--if you want to kill--are all easy cuts.

@Book Bala is here in a support role really. The deck is all about Grievous.

Gaffi helped take down Luke in two turns and it's special helps when you only have modified melee or have no resources, which is why I have left reversal out. 3 cost for a one time event where I could have flamethrower for the duration of the game.

I've been playing a lot of blue so I'm reluctant to cut the cunning, being able trigger any special on the board is something I always hate to see and it's a yellow dice.

In my exp, Grievous is good out of the gate. You upgrade Bala, let Grievous do his thing, and get extra readying here and there. This way you have equal threats, and, as General almost always gets killed, you Bala is geared up and scary.

If General is your killer, Commanding Presence seems much scarier than Thrower. Get in Pack over data pad.

Cunning is best in decks that exploit specials in their own decks. Hoping an opponent brings something for you isn't aggression at all, imo. It offers nothing more than Fight Dirty fodder, which pack does, and gives more damage AND control options.

Also, the comment about Reversal. That card swings a game in two ways. Sure, you can have an upgrade out, but it's not the best for its cost at all. It provides no options beyond the marginal special.

Reversal wins games. It is a surprise kill, an aggressive counter, and a control card in one. You speak of fight dirty, but 'this does the same thing in a different way--costing resources instead of dice. Commanding presence is a superior addition beyond it impeding fight dirty.

Thanks for the replies. It's still early in the game. No one is an expert yet, myself included. But I edge toward cards that offer certainties over possibilities. Just my philosophy.

@Book Thanks you for taking the time to comment, let alone look at the deck. Just a few last thoughts.

I should have maybe prefaced this deck by saying that it was only built the day before testing and as such has had very little play testing, let alone against no real variety of deck builds.

The suggestions you have made are all very good and I can see how your version of the deck works, I will built it at some point, but they mainly change the focus of the deck.

Jetpack is an option that I will try as I don't think it would change the deck too much.

I don't own any copies of Commanding Presence, if I did it would be included but part of the game for me is using the collection I have.

Reversal is top of the list to be swapped in after more testing. It was left out as I was trying out different options and some cheaper cards whilst I found out how the deck's economy work.

As a quick aside, we're playing a dice game, there are no certainties!!!
