I changed from Bala/Trooper/Trooper/Nightsister to these 3. The damage output seems to be slightly higher.
My strategy is to usually go for the lowest health character and be sure to activate Bala first to fully utilize his ability. It is possible with a few upgrades out to one shot a lower health character. I tend to play upgrades early on Phasma or the trooper to make the opponent try to prioritize them over Bala.
