I came across this deck in the wild west on TTS, so I 100% do not claim the idea.

At first look (and at every look) this could probably be the dumbest deck ever. There are only 3 (!!) non-character dice in this deck...and they don't even have damage sides. The deck runs very heavy on events, which is where all the firepower is.

I've been playing Qui-Gon/Rey since Awakenings, so I'm very partial to him and his ability, which absolutely screams to be built around. However, even with the printing of amazing cards in SoR like Synchronicity and Your Eyes Can Deceive You, I could never really get the shield train running. That's when I came across this deck and shamelessly stole it (again, I claim no credit).

This deck literally goes 110% in on the shields train. Cards that were bad before (like Spirit of Rebellion and Take Cover) are still bad, but they've at least found a comfortable home here. Everything in this deck is geared towards putting shields on Qui-Gon and then throwing them at your enemy. It's not fast and it's very much all about the death-by-a-thousand-paper-cuts plan. I've had my opponents claim while I just sit there and do like 3-4 damage out of hand with bad cards or turtle about with Air Superiority.

Snap is mostly there to distract them. Roll him in first and resolve the disrupt if you can before they can use resources. If not, just leave his die in there so that they're forced to spend $ to claim. He also brings the benefit of red staples like Dug in and Defensive Position. There's very little removal in this deck, which can obviously be a problem. But you're too focused on flinging little Boba Fett helmets at them to care anyways. Can't remove your dice if all the damage comes from your hand, right? Suckers.

That brings me to the deck's natural enemy: mill. This deck struggles hard against mill. And it struggles against super aggro decks. And decks that rely on heavy action cheating. And pretty much any deck in the game. It's not really that competitive, but it's fun to play and annoying for your opponent. I just beat an elite Obi-Wan Kenobi - Mysterious Hermit/Rey team without resolving a single damage die the entire. I simply durdled around and flicked him with shields. By that point in the game, I had two copies of Planetary Uprising out so I could just claim, do 4 damage to Rey, and eat her die with Carbon-freezing Chamber - Bespin. It was silly.

I almost care enough about this idea to change it up. As it is, cards like Defensive Stance and Trust Your Instincts are kind of filler. I'll need to play it more to optimize it...if that's even possible.
