So I'm trying out this deceptive mill deck. The key cards in this deck are Patience and Determination. With the right draw and early battlefield claims by turn three, I think it's possible to hit a ten card deck mill with #Patience.

The setup:

Initial draw (best scenario): 2 Force Speed, any 2 cost upgrade, plus some mitigation or Determination. You want to control your opponent's dice or cards in the first 2 rounds and do everything possible to keep Ezra alive.

With a little help from Imperial Armory - Death Star and a roll, you could quite possible get four upgrades out on turn 1.

The goal is to get out six upgrades in the first two turns and at least one #Patience in your hand. Pickpocket and Don't Get Cocky could help with this.

Now, all you need is to roll crap on round three (so your opponent does not choose to remove your dice, sneaky huh?) and BAM Patience their deck. Although, this surprise attack is over. Your opponent will only have at most 5 cards left and most likely less if you use Don't Get Cocky, Local Patrol, or Secret Mission.

Ok question, so patience is a mill strategy so after you have done all this and gotten rid of their deck, how do you plan to remove the rest of the cards from their hand?

I should've explained the reasoning for having the Determination cards in hand. With Force Speed, Force Training, Inner Strength, and Psychometry, you have the opportunity to hit the focus die roll. Using Luke's 3 side or Ezra's +2 side you should be able to mill any remaining cards in your opponent's hand.

Furthermore, in my experience, I've yet to meet a destiny player that hasn't used their entire hand to get re-rolls, supports, upgrades or mitigation to finish me off. Worst case scenario, it will be a battle of attrition to finish them off.

Lastly, bear in mind, this is not a competitive deck. It's just a fun tricksy deck that your opponent might not see coming given Luke's presence. Let's be honest here, a lot has to go right for it to work and to keep Ezra alive, but just like the massive Salvo damage deck or the insane multiple ID9 Seeker Droid deck, it might be just enough fun to give it a try.

you can not mill with the +2 ranged side Modifed is part of the "value" on a die so by using determination Ezra's +2 ranged becomes +2 Discard and since you can not resolve modified sides without a base side to go along with it AND Determination only lets you resolve 1 die you can never use determination on a Modified side unless you have an awakening on the field.
