Introduction

The Ghost crew swooped down, wreaked havoc and blasted off again before the enemy had a chance to react.

Kanan / Zeb is about tempo and getting value out of the added income by playing expensive events on top of the normal play.

Strategy

The deck wants to be ahead in the tempo using ambush guns, Running Interference and Force Speed to resolve damage before the opponent. By use of the basic control suite and claiming with Frozen Wastes - Starkiller Base we keep ahead in the damage race. Mid game we start shutting down turns with Hyperspace Jump to hinder the opponent from resolving damage.

The 'bank' suite of Maz's Vault, Truce and Hidden Agenda role is to allow us to play guns and control while we have the option to play Jump or Trick. Differing from the opponent who hasn´t a planned for an income curve like this and thus not included any higher cost cards. The result is that nine times out of ten they simply pile up a useless mountain of resources while we go even and have a more efficient play.

Playwise

Always take the our own battle ground. The 2 shields the opponent gets are equalized by the first claim and any further are gain, but the important thing is that we start ahead in tempo. If the opponent is canny and takes theirs remember that we can switch back with a Jump.

Mull for at least one upgrade, some bonus income and a zero cost control card. Play a gun per turn to grow dice without losing tempo and use the cheap control. Keep a close track on the pace and cheat ahead a beat with FS or RI.

Mid to late game it becomes more complicated. Now we either want to close the round if they roll well or rev up damage with X-8 Night Snipers Action or Alter. RI + Alter is a nasty combo as they can´t play cards while X-8 works well with a FS special.

Use Easy Pickings to thin their pool. It´s tempting to hold on to it, but often just removing two is enough to keep ahead.

Remember that Kanan is tempo neutral. His 2 side is like a mod on top of the guns and using the on a DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol is a finalizer equal to when Han faced Greedo in the Cantina. We know how that went.

Shoot first and leave before they notice. Only dead Rebels stay around

I just built and started playing this. I find it to be very good and fun to play. The Running Interference change doesn’t seem to hurt it at all. Have u made any changes to this since you posted?

It was before having access to Rivals, so I´d at least change Sound The Alarm for Hidden Motive. Apart from that it´s doing well. I´m actually tinkering with another blue/yellow combo atm; Old man Obi/Ezra.

Nice I’ll try with Hidden Motive have you tried Counter Strike since you can resolve zebs die as ranged or melee? Old man Obi/Ezra. Sounds interesting. Curious to see what you come up with!

Counter Strike is a contender ( I also noticed Swirns response :) ), but if you include it better pick Synchronicity too as that´s going a direct damage path, which essentially is adding more speed. Doing that I´d probably exchange the Jumps, Trick and Agenda.

Hmm I think I will try it with your suggestions. I do like a little direct damage, plus unblockable Damage seems more important than ever these days.
