So, this deck struck again, and it was very nice to see some different matchups.

I'll write a more detailed summary later, but here's a recap:

BYE W vs. Mill (eYoda/Cassian/Anakin) L vs. eRex/Clone/Clone (should've called for 2 and his second Planetary Uprising. Oops!) W vs. eLuke3/eRey2 (talk about coming back from the brink. Sorry, Jus!)

Top 4 W vs. eKylo2/eSnoke (really bad start; really nice finish) W vs. Papercuts (eTalzin/Mandalorian Commando X 2) Again, close.

4-1 today against a crowd of 17 players at Gameology in Upland, CA. Overall the deck is 12-2 after winning at Fire & Dice in Winnetka, CA last Saturday.

I ditched a Kylo Ren's Starfighter for a Podracer. Going forward I'll remove the Fall Back, which I never use, in favor of Flames of the Past.

I'd be more than happy to take more questions if anybody has them.

Have a great night!

Congratulations again! Have you considered Art of War?

Also, I had a wonderful day past thursday winning 10 games in a row with this deck. I included Docking Bay - Finalizer and Grand Moff to do some tech against milling, and it went quite well

I'm really surprised you are not seeing success using Fall Back, that card has been a hero for me. Removing most of their upgrades is just killer in round 2 or 3. Flames of the Past of the past seems like a good add, haven't thought of that one yet. @herrerodani, I played with Art of War for a long time and never get value from it. Maybe my play style, but it is too situational for value. Mind Trick is just better for 2 cost. I also removed Kylo Ren's Starfighter, but I'm rolling 2 Planetary Bombardment and several games have both on the field. This is now my go to deck and I'm hoping to get it tuned for regionals.

Congrats! If you were interested in writing a tournament report, a deck tech or both on this archetype we would definitely host it. On a personal note I'm curious as to why you chose to play z-95 over say fang fighter. It seems to me that it would be more expensive to do 6 over two turns with z95 than a fang and it's just as expensive for the first 3. Not sure how often you find yourself doing the 1 damage. Anyway, that's just a random question that popped into my head. Congrats with success you clearly have a strong list.

@TheHyperloops: I'd be interested. How could I contact you? It was moreso with Kylo2 in mind, to be honest. It gave me two more gray cards. I initially cut the Fang Fighters for a TIE Fighter and TIE Advanced.

@herrerodani: I tried a Store Championship (Shuffle & Cut, La Habra, CA) on Sunday with a Grand Moff and Art of War in the deck, and agree with @dpuck1998; there just wasn't value there for Art of War.

I got Grand Moff out turn 1 against eRex/Clone x2, but Thrawn got blasted to death. I feel it sets the deck back from an otherwise consistent build utilizing Hailfire and its ability to ping at will.

I like what you did to tech against mill, but I wonder if you're able to claim faster than mill. Plus, you're giving them the ability to play a discarded Anakin's podracer or Second Chance. I'm not willing to do that, especially when I want to activate five-to-seven cards per turn to their three-to-four.

@dpuck1998: It's the matchups, I feel. I took it out Sunday in the Store Champ I mentioned above, and I missed it terribly.

My matchups:

L vs. eRex/Clone x2

W vs. eKylo2/ePryce

L vs. eLuke3/eAayla

W vs. ePoe2/eRey2

The two matches I lost was due to upgrades ganging up on me; things I prevented in Store Champs prior. If I had not turned to grabbing mitigation from them, I might have fared better.

Having two Planetary Bombardments is really nice, especially since having one is so easy to mitigate. However, I'd rather spend six resources on two Starfighters with my Hailfire pinging 1-2 damage per Starfighter and having two extra dice to mitigate, then drop the Planetary for three indirect PLUS rolling it in.
