Circle of Shelter and Fatal Blow are Selections for Lightsaber Mastery.

This began as a theme deck, and I really enjoy many of its interactions and combinations. I'm going to walk through them and begin to explain why I think this deck may work out.

Battlefield: The Job of this battlefield is to make it very unexciting for my opponent. I believe that at this point in time in the standard meta, Red/Yellow has never been stronger. I don't expect to see as many decks running Blue (though I'm sure there will be plenty, in previous meta's I would have expected as high as 50% blue with current options I expect it to be more like 30% Blue). This battlefield has more benefit to me than it does my opponent, almost certainly.

Anakin: Just like in the Phantom Menace, this guy is only there to make money. If Qui-Gon goes down I lose, and my opponent could focus down Qui-Gon quickly, but I expect that an elite Anakin becomes a very tempting target because he's going to make the money to make Qui-Gon function.

Qui-Gon: I want to push his ability to it's very limits and keep him around as long as possible. He's my tank here.

Upgrades: I've included a lot of upgrades in this deck but the one that pulls it all together is Custom Bandolier. This removes the limit of how many upgrades Qui-Gon can have making it possible to load him up with a lot of cool abilities.

A99 Aquata Breather This is a Meta call, right now it looks like there could be a lot of indirect damage in this set. This helps to soften that blow considerably.

Protective Suit A Mind Extraction on Qui-gon could be devastating. This prevents that play. Also anti-mill tech. Sometimes could buy you an extra turn.

Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber This Card is literally made for Qui-Gon. Shield Replacement and card draw, Yes please.

Republic Jedi Armor Increase Qui-Gon's health, Give him a Shield. ,A Dice on an equipment card. This seems like a real winner, especially with the fact that Qui-Gon's ability can turn the die into a BEAST.

Soresu Mastery Damage removal, shields, Focus, Turns moves into better cards. Fantastic card.

Soresu Training Just easier access to mastery and more shields.

Supports Defensive Teaching Maximum shields increased for hanging around longer, and hanging onto the die bumps from Qui-gon

It Binds All Things Reduced Upgrade prices, Economy Builder

Ataru Strike Those shields I've been generating turn into Damage.

Bacta Therapy With all those upgrades it's easy to get this off as a heal 5. I like healing for 5/2

Renewed Purpose It works to draw more cards, and this deck makes money so I want my upgrades in early turns. This card enables me to play more cards.

Deflecting Slash Removal, Tempo and sometimes shields. This card is nuts.

Fatal Blow because this is sitting under Lightsaber Mastery, Any time I can get a kill with it from a kitted out Qui-gon, I can just use it. It cannot be discarded by hand mill either.

Circle of Shelter More shields when you need them.
