Realize that this deck is so as molasses due to Backup Muscle, Hunker Down, and FO TIE Fighter. Play that to your advantage to draw out your turns to force the opponent to claim, so they cannot mess with your dice (unless they just keep passing). Use your events to manipulate the enemy dice first, and then play upgrades when they either have resolved their dice or you have enough money to play events and play your upgrades. Do not neglect Tusken's ability to deal quick damage to finish off characters. Players will usually go for the Tusken first, so plan for this. The Stormtroopers are the true threat, though.
To make the deck cheaper, cut -2 Holdout Blaster, -2 Jetpack, and -2 Electroshock for +2 IQA-11 Rifle, +2 Infantry Grenades, and +2 Squad Tactics. These changes really hurt the deck, but if you cannot afford the money rares, you gotta make sacrifices.
The deck would probably be better with -2 FO TIE Fighter and +2 Squad Tactics, but the promo FO TIE Fighters are so pretty!
